Air Force Sergeants Association

Chapter 1451 - Serving Oregon and SW Washington

Military Friendly Vendors...

Vendors offering special discounts are showing their continued support for veterans that have made or are making sacrifices for our country and way of life.  We have listed some of these vendors below and you can help make this a win-win scenario through patronage of these establishments.

IHOP International House of Pancakes (10%)

Besides great food and service, they will give veterans a 10% discount at the register when showing your ID card. We first discovered this in Bend OR while attending an Air National Guard Chiefs Group meeting. Since then we have exercised this at several restaurants in Salem and Portland. These people are truly vet friendly and you should stop in to eat and express your appreciation.

This special Military Discount applies only at Nike-owned stores including Nike Stores, NikeFactoryStores, NIKETOWN, NikeWomen, and Best Of stores in the US and Puerto Rico only. It does not apply to Nike Employee Stores, Nike.Com,, or other non-Nike stores where Nike product is sold (Finish Line, Foot Locker, Nordstrom etc). Click here to find a Nike Retail location.

Sportsman's Warehouse

We have heard you can get a 5% discount when you show your ID card.

Home Depot (10%)

Home Depot has significantly improved their support of veterans. We have heard several positive comments in Portland and Salem where cashiers can process military discounts without getting manager approval. Please let us know if you have any issues with a Home Depot in your area.

Lowe's (10%)

At one time Lowe's only offered discounts to veterans on special holidays. I can tell you that Lowe's in Clackamas and Salem have both applied a 10% veteran discount at time of purchase when I presented my Military ID card. This also worked for military dependent ID cards. Kudos' to Lowe's for this huge step forward.

Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum (McMinnville)(5%)

Will give veterans a 5% discount on admission to the museum. If you have not seen it is is worth a look-see.
