It's true our primary focus is the enlisted member and their family, but tradition dictates we do much more. Most members enlist because they already believe in the things that make this country great. It's self-sacrifice for the benefit of others that keeps enlisted members active in the community. As enlisted members progress through rank and professional development, they are motivated to continually increase their involvement in projects and programs that help those in need and benefit the community as a whole. There are a lot of nonprofit organizations with people of the same belief. The belief they can make a positive different in someone else's life. * Portland Air National Guard Annual Awards Banquet
Recognizing the outstanding performers and there a lot of truly remarkable Guard members at the base. The chapter has sponsored the ceremony in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

* Air Force Aid Society
Helping members that need it. In this instance hardest hit were those in the gulf region hit by the wave of storms. The chapter has supported this organization yearly either directly or through AFSA HQ.

Providing medical services to veterans. Chapter members perform volunteer services each month.

- Financial contributions as well as book and magazine donations.

* Military Coupon Program
- This program involves chapter members clipping National brand item coupons from newspapers and magazines. These coupons are then sorted and shipped to overseas bases where military members can use them at commissaries to help save money. Coupon expiration dates are extended six months for overseas locations.
The last two years has seen the residents of Miramont Pointe in Clackamas holding bi-weekly clipping parties to help support this program. With their assistance, the chapter is sending almost 100 pounds of coupons to veterans of all services overseas. In 2010 the Auxiliary sent 138 lbs of coupons to overseas installations.

Dedicated to help the homeless around the Portland area.

* Shepherd's Door
Affiliated with Portland Rescue Mission they assist women and children. Members routinely bring in new and used clothing items. Women's business attire is greatly appreciated.

Food items are collected at all meetings and later dropped off at collection points.
